Mother and daughter embracing

The immigration system is broken. Here's why.

We've lived through these challenges, and we're building the solution our community deserves.

$600+ for one lawyer question

Even a single consultation can cost hundreds—and often leads to more upsells, not clear answers. Most people can't afford that just to ask, 'Where do I even start?'

Real impact: 73% of people delay their immigration journey due to cost barriers

Legal jargon & confusing forms

Immigration systems are built like mazes. Every country uses different terms, has hidden deadlines, and updates rules without notice. One wrong checkbox can delay your future by months or years.

Real impact: 40% of applications are delayed due to form errors

2AM Reddit searches

When you can't afford a lawyer, you turn to forums. But every story is different, advice is scattered, and you're left wondering: Can I trust this?

Real impact: People spend 50+ hours searching for reliable information

Sketchy websites & hidden fees

A lot of tools online look helpful—until they ask for your credit card, sell your data, or disappear when you need real support. It's hard to know who's legit and who's just profiting off confusion.

Real impact: 60% report being scammed or misled by immigration services

No centralized comparison

Every country's rules live on different government websites, buried in PDFs, or scattered across outdated blogs. There's no simple way to compare: What's possible for me—and what should I do first?

Real impact: People visit 15+ different websites just to understand their options

Not built for people like us

If you're queer, trans, BIPOC, or low-income, the traditional immigration system was never designed with your needs in mind. Most tools assume wealth, access, and safety you might not have.

Real impact: Marginalized communities face 3x more barriers in immigration

Our Co-Founders

Ezekiel Obieta (He/Him)
Co-Founder

Ezekiel is a Filipino-American immigrant, product designer, and strategist with 8+ years of experience building inclusive tools across healthcare and AI. His path into this work began as a child, watching his mom navigate the U.S. immigration system alone at 23—working two jobs, attending nursing school, and paying over $7,000 in legal fees just to file paperwork for her kids. That experience shaped his mission: to make complex systems clearer, kinder, and more human.

He’s led product at Plume (trans health), Zerigo (skin health), and Avela Health (neurodivergent families), and contributed to Tesla, Facebook, Google, and Cognoa in autism diagnostics. Now, as he prepares to return to the Philippines—the country his family once left in search of a better life—he’s building the tool he wishes his mom had. One that makes immigration simpler, safer, and full of dignity.

Carolina Román (She/Her)
Co-Founder & CTO

Carolina is a Chilean-born engineer, product leader, and immigrant with over 20 years of experience building technology that serves people. She has led full-stack teams across life sciences, research, and early-stage startups, serving as Director of Product Engineering at ScienceIO and Head of Engineering at Arise. With deep expertise in backend systems, infrastructure, and data privacy, she builds tools that are secure, scalable, and rooted in real-world impact.

She’s lived in Chile, Spain, the U.S., and briefly worked in Japan, navigating visas, bureaucracy, and the uncertainty that comes with starting over in a new place. Every move made clear how fragmented and unforgiving immigration systems can be, no matter how prepared you try to be.

She’s now building the tools she wishes she’d had: ones that make mobility more accessible, and systems easier to navigate with clarity and dignity.

Why We’re Here

Our Mission

We empower immigrants and their loved ones with the tools to move freely, with autonomy over their journey and ownership of their data every step of the way.

Our Vision

We imagine a world where you can move where your life is better. A world where people aren't limited by bureaucracy or borders, but empowered by tools that respect their data, their time, and their dreams.

Our Values

Data Ownership

We build systems where only you can access your data: no one else, not even us.

Empathy First

We’ve been there. We build with care and lived experience.

Simplicity

We turn bureaucracy into clarity, one step at a time.

Community

We’re building this together, so no one has to navigate it alone.
